LED Candlelight Birthday Box

Aloha Friends !
Lucky for us the rain held up at Grandma and Grandpa's today while we grilled our lunch of teriyaki meat and skewers (made by my sister Jojo) and asparagus, and red and orange mini bell peppers (by sister-in-law Trina with my nephew Raiden creating the skewers).  I'd like to share a mini birthday box I created yesterday for mom's birthday.  We decided to celebrate two birthdays today.

This adorable sized little box is only 3"x3" for mom.  Her favorite color is blue so I started with that in mind.

This photo is of the box opened as it falls flat with the cover on the side and you can see my "Happy Birthday Mom" written on one of the squares.  I used a small LED candle (just 1" in diameter and 3/4" high) and decorated it to look like a cake.  I've seen such cute ideas on the different blogs that I visit .... I just had to start making them.

Here's a photo of the top of the lid.  I added a few beads to add more bling - which I love.  I created the flower with origami paper and solid blue paper.

Here's a close up of the 'cake' with the light on.  It actually flickers as if it's a real candle.
It's so cute!
Thank you for stopping by!

The joy of the Lord is our Strength.
